Should I be OK with basic AVG Anti-Virus or AVG Pro is that worth?

AVG Anti-Virus, the free version, said to provide quality basic protection. Is it worth it to pay and upgrade to Pro? Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I AVG free for a while. Is well but does not automatically update which means manually update each time you connect to the Internet becomes tedious. Also falsely detected and deleted files were in fact an essential part of the software for my keyboard that I managed to solve. I changed my Avast Home Edition (free) and have no complaints. It has an interface a little confusing, but once used it for a few days you get used to it.
