What is the Best Antivirus Software?

Today more than ever, 90% of my service calls are related virus. Everyone knows how careful should be in your Internet surfing, and what sites you visit. The antivirus industry is an industry that moves millions of dollars, with many software companies. I always wondered why my clients should they buy antivirus software to protect your computer.

What makes a good antivirus program

Over the years I have tried many different antivirus applications, and have learned what to look for when choosing what is right for you. Based on my experience, I have been able to break with the qualities of antivirus products in the following categories:

- How often Software releases new virus update

- Is it easy to keep your antivirus up to date

- How How much resources the program will run (performance of your computer)

- Can the virus scan program in the background without affecting performance.

My Anti-virus choice

My response to my clients when the pose the question about what anti-virus software for purchase is usually as follows: "buy the same use." When I give this response usually full of people with a sense of comfort to know that a professional technician has a brand name of choice. Obviously the next question in line is, and what products used? The answer to that question is, Norton Anti-Virus.

Why choose Norton Anti Virus

There are certain things I look for when I can evaluate anti virus programs. The most obvious is, block threats from infecting your computer. In most cases all "accredited" seem to work. Where I can find a big difference is less noticeable on smaller things. I have detailed below a brief list of reasons why Norton is the best option.

• Norton sends virus definition updates faster then any other company
• Norton automatically updates your system with latest updates
• Norton does not slow down when the computer is running
• Norton scans the computer in the background without you having to wait and see

Norton Is Enough?

Although I am a firm believer that Norton Anti-Virus does an effective job of protecting your computer, I feel that all anti-virus programs have a small piece that lacking to be practically perfect. Anti Virus programs specialized in blocking worms, Trojans and other viruses from infecting your computer. What is not effectively block spyware and adware that creates pop-ups on your computer. While adware on your computer is not harmful, sometimes look like Windows messages you must click and click on them to bring you to places harmful interference in which case it would have to be infected.

In addition to Norton Anti Virus, I have been very impressed with a product called Webroot Spysweeper. This program is designed to clean and block spyware, adware and accurate that I mentioned above. This, in cooperation Norton Anti-Virus will ensure that your computer is safe when surfing the Internet.
