What is the best free spyware / virus detection and removal software?

I used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy a spyware murderer for years. I recently added SUPERAntiSpyware. They are free for personal use I had no problems with Trojans, hackers, etc. I just upgraded to AVG Free 8.0 and all seems well so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. All can be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. Is it safe to use two anti-spyware products, but never use more than one A / V, which can cause conflicts. You must run the A / V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
